The Compagnia di San Paolo has launched the Ora! Announcement, Contemporary Languages, Innovative Productions.
“The Announcement aims to promote cultural production on a national level through the support of projects in the visual and performative arts spheres, as well as other expressive languages of contemporary culture…”
You can find it here. [ITA]
On the occasion of the Ora! Announcement presentation, which will take place on December the 1st, at the IUAV University of Venice, Dolomiti Contemporanee will be there to tell its story, as well as the meaning and function of its practices in the context of cultural and functional Regeneration.
We will therefore see you on Tuesday, December the 1st, at 11 AM, in the Badoer Building, inside the Tafuri Hall, calle de la laca san polo 2468, 30125 Venezia.
It will be possible to stream the conference at www.iuav.it/streaming/Badoer.
It keeps on getting bigger, this network of individuals in the Piemonte Region with whom DC is launching various designs of territory-opening, ones that are cultural and operational, in stark contrast with the short-sighted isolating vision that can best be described as all-spaces-in-their-own-place.
The Dolomites in Turin, this interests us, and Mollino in Borca, and maybe Gellner at the Valentino Castle, this is what we want to do.
The east in the west, and the west in the east, this is what needs to be done.
The meeting of networks, this, and only this, is unavoidable, if one wants to speak of Culture (and not of finite, still gardens).
The open Space that separates the Dolomites from the Western Alps is much more important of the Dolomites or Western Alps themselves: it doesn’t have to be filled, it must instead be corssed.
This Space is none other than the Landscape.
And Landscape is Movement.
The Polytechnic University of Turin, the Merz Foundation, the landscape innovators (and not just of the one surrounding the Alps) of Leap Factory, The National Mountain Museum, these are just some of those with whom we wish to collaborate, to extend a planning net on the territory, to move and haul it, to avoid its constriction and containment into static enclosures.
