Ritorno (visual rave)/Stefano Moras
Ritorno (senza soluzione di continuità)
(Return (non-stop))
by Stefano Moras
The artist carries out this rave-performance in an old stable of the hamlet of Casso. The persormance is carried out non-stop from 8:30 PM to 3:00 AM, May the 3rd 2015.
The idea had its inception in the will to create an impromptu event in Casso.
The event is divided in video-projections and performance, which declare the will to employ a direct and obsessive approach to the landscape: a direct ptoportion between two entities, that is to say the human and the elements of the landscape, proportion that, to be maintained needs constant attention, and endless actions of re-consideration, of upkeep.
The visual contributions are presented in the form of continuous loops. They are audio-video collaborations Geometrical Breath (Moras/Nan and Sandra Hauser) and Tutte le volte che aspetto la pioggia (Eng.: all the times I wait for the rain) (Moras/Nan and Lorenzo Commisso).
The performance Ritorno involves a series of pressure-washing actions on calcarous rocks taken from landslide-prone places around the Erto and Casso area, and is included in the platform VOCE.
We would like to thank the inhabitants of Casso, who have made this perfomance possible, welcoming the contemporary art among the stones of their village.
A special thanks to Claudio Manarin, Marcello Mazzucco, Luigina Mazzucco, Delfino Manarin.
