In his intervention, the artist posits astonishment as an a-priori artistic research, underlying its human determination, which makes both generation and re-generation possible. Sensitivity and astonishment come from a relationship fluctuating between the object and the person who perceives it: as it is in human birth, and the universe’s own.
In the artwork, the talcum powder, which covers the surface of an aluminium sheet, seeps through a collection of small holes, creating a depiction of the constellations visible on the day of Gianni Caravaggio‘s birth.
