“For me, painting is not just about producing new work, it is also a way of life. Observing the world through painting helps me see the world around me in new contexts. Painting gives me room to freely explore, analyse and re-synthesise phenomena that surround me or recollect those that stick in my memory. This entire creative process is very variable and difficult to pin down – I often find myself watching it like a movie unfolding before my eyes. In a way, I sometimes feel like a moviegoer who is very happy to have been able to get hold of the tickets for this show.” (daniel pitìn)
