We also made her aware of Paesaggi Contemporanei,

Progettoborca – Residencies and Lab for Landscape, is the name of the Crowdfounding campaign we’re launching on Semptember 1st 2016, and through which we’d like to put into practice the operative and productive capabilities inside the extraordinary former Eni Village of Borca di Cadore as a whole, and inside the Colonia (Eng.: summer camp building) in particular. We’d like to remind that the Colonia, gigantic architectural compound created by Edoardo Gellner, and later abandoned from 1991 to 2014, has become in that year a pivotal centre for the functional regeneration and re-conception started by Dolomiti Contemporanee together with

August the 7th, Triomomentum Concert in Casso

triomomentum-248x375New Gates, Triomomentum Concert
Friday, August the 7th, 8 PM

Spazio di Casso (terrace)

On August the 7th, Triomomentum will perform in a Concert at the upper terrace of the Nuovo Spazio di Casso.
The set list involves a series of pieces, alternated to improvisations linked to the absolutely unique atmosphere of the location:

Sofija Gubaidulina, Garten von Freuden und Traurigkeiten (1980;1993)

Kaija Saariaho, New Gates (1996)

Johannes Schneeberger, Modulation (2014)

Toru Takemitsu, And then I kewn ´twas wind (1992)

Triomomentum
The Trio Momentum was formed in Manheim in 2014, with the meeting of Anna Buck (flute), Marie Takahashi (viola) and Simon Foerster (harp), three musicians who are intentioned to explore the contemporary repertoire and to continuously renovate themselves in multi-artistic projects. Curiosity, research, and creativity are at the basis of their work. The Trio actively collaborated with young composers, among which are Johannes Schneeberger (jezz composer and improv piano player), Katharina Roth and Michel Barrett, with the desire to widen their already existing repertoire from their various backgrounds and to develop new soundscapes. There’s a special attention to the versatile projects that are originated from the union with other artistic forms, among which dance, painting, visuals, in the research of a more absolute form of art. In the more traditional set lists, the Trio loves to play recent compositions, like the ones of Sofia Gubaidulina, Toru Takemitsu o Kaija Saariaho, alternated with baroque transcriptions and to Claude Debussy’s Sonata, which is the “forefather” of the repertoire for such a formation. In 2014 the Trio has attended the academy of the Ensemble Recherche in Freiburg, from which it has received great artistic and professional stimuli, and in 2015 the academy for contemporary music at the Musikhochschule of Lucerna, under the guidance of David Alberman, Pirmin Grehl, Anne Bassand and Wolfgang Rihm; it has worked with Samuel Adler and Sindey Corbett.

New Gates: the title

Taken from the title of the trio of Kaija Saariah, a composer much loved by trio momentum, the expression New Gates wants to convey a sense of mental openness and spiritual freedom of the listener, infusing them with new hopes and desire of continual research.
The listener, stepping through new gates and letting themselves be attracted by always different soundscapes, is dragged into a musical flux with no space and time, in which perceptions and emotions continuously change, uncontrollable like dreams, untouchable, like thoughts.
