With Serie Leitos Gráficos the artist reflects on the theme of limit as a boundary that creates tension towards both separation and cohesion. At the same time, the artist investigates the act of contact, starting from what registers on paper, from the empty space that opens itself on the ground, or the very creative process itself, up to the friction between the sensitive surface of Japanese paper and the stiff texture of the floor. In the latter case, the floor becomes a delicate and unsteady surface, like that of a scaly and uneven skin. Leat, moreover, brings attention to the concept of walking, and of the creation of paths, as much as in the idea of pre-assumption as in the process of work itself. Hidden paths actually take shape through meaningless cracks, like in the invisible map of a city. Cracks that we step on without giving them importance, losing dimension and scale, therefore mixing reality between big and small.
