mattia bosco
untitled, palisander marble, 155x60x60 cm, 2012
untitled, oak wood, 145x70x54 cm, 2014
The two sculptures presented by Mattia Bosco, differents in their materials (palisander marble, wood), put into light a same attitude towards nature and its artistic re-processing. The artist is, always, interested in the long processes, of depositing of the formative characters, and of growth, which bring to the birth of the materials, organic and inorganic. The geological time of depositing of the layers, and from there the stone, the mountain.
The biological time of formation of the vegetal organisms. But these objects-matter are never complete, their evolution is continuous, and the work of the artist places them inside the existential process of the object, which keeps on mutating, even when the artist himself makes it their own, cultivating a shred of it, interacting with it.
