1, 2 (b+c) – 8/9 november

During the weekend of the 8th and 9th of November, dolomiti contemporanee proposes two closing events for the fall season, in borca di cadore (progettoborca) and at the nuovo spazio di casso.

After a long and intense season, launched as a cruise ship (dolomiti crociere, or dolomiti cruising in English) last June, with the international artistic contest two calls for vajont, whose deadline was extended just a few days ago, the nuovo spazio di casso will reduce the opening hours during the winter period. the activities in borca di cadore will decrease too, until next spring, while many other projects will be carried on in the dolomitic area and elsewhere.  More informations about them, soon.

on saturday November the 8th, in borca, there a guided tour to the former eni village, in which dolomiti contemporanee  has been working in for a few months, thanks to the partnership with the minoter-cualbu group, is scheduled
The Colonia (summer camp building), the church and the cottages will be open for the visiting guests. The Colonia, in these few months in particular, was the main project-site of progettoborca, daily crossed, inhabited, lived by the artists invited in Residence. Saturday the 8th, it will be the turn of Sandra Hauser and Stefano Moras, who have remained in residence in Borca for four weeks.
During the open-studio they will present a series of artworks and installations realised in Borca. A complex endeavor, theirs, which gives back a new image, a myriad of prompts, to rethink the meaning, the present, the destiny of this extraordinary place. Its potential is huge, and we’re trying to reactivate it now, through imagination and planning (the imaginative planning).
Marta Allegri will present, then, a work-in-progress, first glimpse of an artwork that will be completed next spring.
Fabiano De Martin will present a previously unreleased large wooden sculpture.
Many other artists whom have worked in the past few months in the village, during this first season of progettoborca will be there, too: they will lead to the discovery of their artworks scattered in the enormous compound, no longer abandoned, of the Colonia.
Stefano Cagol will be attending with the body of energy, a transnational nomadic project which moves through Europe, stopping in different places of production of physical and cultural energy. TBOE will arrive in Borca on the 8th of November ad on the 9th in Casso. It will gather portraits of energy, interacting with the surroundings and involving the public (the project is supported by rwe foundation).

sunday 9 November, in Casso, the two exhibitions now on show at the Nuovo Spazio (meteorite in giardino and paths) will close down. In the afternoon, Sandra Hauser and Fabrizio De Bon will give life to a  sound performance in duet, playing instruments and tools in front of Mount Toc.
Then, wine and chestnuts.
