“open in painting” pictures

During the opening were presented the works of art of Andreco, Kabu, Davide Zucco, the first three artists invited in this “construction yard at high altitude” en plein air, to paint the walls. The aim was to create new images on the grey and silent building, pointing the attention on the building itself, with the hope of turning on the interest of investors to let the mountain hut open again. The building has great potential and is located in a very strategic position on the dorsal of the ridges of the Nevegal hill.

Four hours of blue sky in a rainy day let the people came to the Brigata Cadore Mountain Hut to see the walls completed. This is just the first phase of the project that will be finally completed by three other international artists next spring.

nearly 200 people reached the Mountain Hut during the day. A dj set by RadioBelluno (Guido Beretta) contributed to create a vital and creative athmosphere.
The building was alive once again, finally re-opened.
Another important cultural yard where DC decided to give an impulse of innovative revitalization to a place sadly closed.

This is the first example in Italy of a Mountain Hut at high altitude, located in an area under environmentally protective restriction, where an action such as this is authorized.
The Superintendence understood the cultural value of this operation and of the entire DC’s policy of reactivating neglected sites, and gave its permission.

At the opening many personalities from the political and economic world of Belluno’s area were present, supporting the initiative and underlining the importance of submitting new projects that can relaunch the Nevegal hill.
